Lecture 5 : input - to - state stability

چکیده

In this lecture we introduce a useful tool to study the robustness against disturbances of nonlinear systems. Our starting point is the observation that, given a globally asymptotically stable equilibrium, a small enough perturbation of the vector field should not change the phase portrait much, and hence should not destroy the stability properties. However, how large can the perturbations be before stability is lost? In general, we would also like to understand how far from the equilibrium our solutions may end up as a function of the size of the disturbance. The treatment corresponds to selected parts of Chapter 4 in [1].

Eigenvalue Assignment Of Discrete-Time Linear Systems With State And Input Time-Delays

Time-delays are important components of many dynamical systems that describe coupling or interconnection between dynamics, propagation or transport phenomena, and heredity and competition in population dynamics. The stabilization with time delay in observation or control represents difficult mathematical challenges in the control of distributed parameter systems. It is well-known that the stabi...

Partial Eigenvalue Assignment in Discrete-time Descriptor Systems via Derivative State Feedback

A method for solving the descriptor discrete-time linear system is focused. For easily, it is converted to a standard discrete-time linear system by the definition of a derivative state feedback. Then partial eigenvalue assignment is used for obtaining state feedback and solving the standard system. In partial eigenvalue assignment, just a part of the open loop spectrum of the standard linear s...

Identification and Control of MIMO Systems with State Time Delay (Short Communication)

Time-delay identification is one of the most important parameters in designing controllers. In the cases where the number of inputs and outputs in a system are more than one, this identification is of great concern. In this paper, a novel autocorrelation-based scheme for the state variable time-delay identification for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system has been presented. This method is ba...
